Description Replacement Filters 5 stage
The five replacement filters included represent the prefiltration stages, reverse osmosis stages and post-filtration stage for the standard residential reverse osmosis system. The pre-filtration stages help extend the service life of the reverse osmosis membrane. Long term exposure to disinfectants can damage the membrane and reduce the service life. It is important to replace the stages at the recommended intervals. Microbiological flora can eventually grow in the cartridges and also form a biofilm. Listed below are the recommended replacement schedules for the different stages:
|Filter Stage||Replacement Schedule|
|5 micron spun-polypropylene sediment filter||6 months|
|Granular activated carbon filter||6 months|
|1 micron spun-polypropylene sediment filter||6 months|
|Reverse Osmosis membrane||2-3 years (check TDS)|
|Post carbon in-line filter||12 months|
(Stage 1) 5 Micron Spun Sediment Filter cartridge type) :
With only five micron rating. It is effective in removing dirt, rust and sand particles.
(Stage 2) Granular Activated Carbon Filter ( cartridge type) :
It removes up to 99% of the chlorine and organic chemicals. It provides enhanced reduction of taste and odour.
(Stage 3) 1 Micron Spun Sediment Filter (cartridge type) :
It provides effective filtration to protect your membrane from very fine particles.
(Stage 4) Reverse Osmosis Membrane:
A thin film composite (TFC) high quality membrane that processes 50 gallons per day. It remove the following hard water contaminants that may be present in your water: lead, copper, barium, chromium, mercury, sodium, cadmium, fluoride, nitrite, nitrate, and selenium.
(Stage 5) Inline Post Carbon filter:
This carbon post filter removes objectionable tastes and odours to enhance the quality of your drinking water. We are using NSF approved post carbon filtration to guarantee the taste of water.
